Oil on Board | 12 x 16 inches “In September we had a spell of really hot weather, but in the mornings a mist would conceal the land until the sun burned it off.” 

Oil on Board | 12 x 15 inches “It was a very grey day, interesting cloud formations, but no sunlight. Until I was driving past this solitary horse and the sun came out for a brief minute, basking the horse in sunlight. Perhaps this was a sign that I should paint it?” 

Oil on Board | 12 x 14 inches “I enjoyed capturing a quiet moment and that feeling of having a drink in the sun. It was a lovely subject reminiscent of times gone by. Whilst I had a gentleman working on repairing my studio window at home he recognised the two men in the painting!

Oil on Board | 10 x 16 inches “It was typical November weather when I got the inspiration to paint this subject. Heavy showers followed by bright sunshine and amazing skies. The colours were so punchy and saturated. The title of this painting is a line from John Clare’s poem “November.”‘

Oil on Board | 10 x 14 inches “It was a beautiful spring evening and I loved the warm glow. I used a glaze of Indian yellow and cadmium orange to help achieve this.”

Oil on Board | 10 x 10 inches “This is a scene we used to see on our morning dog walk to Port Quin. Local farmer John Williams was feeding his cattle. I loved the bright blue, the frosty shadows and the peaky spring greens.”
