“GRAPES AND LEAVES”: I have enjoyed exploring still life subjects in oils and pastels this year and particularly like this contemporary composition of grapes and leaves, not the healthiest looking specimens, as they were from our own grapevine, we leave the fruits for the birds as they are so bitter!

“WOOD BRIDGE”: The light at Woodbridge is fantastic and capturing the distant haze in contrast to the strong light hitting the water was the main objective in this piece, within just a few minutes, the sky had clouded over completely.

“DRINKING TIME”: I was rewarded for my patience with the cattle at Tops Hill approaching their water butt for a drink, it allowed me to take even more photo’s and enjoy observing the sunlight reaching across from the distance and hi-lighting their backs as they drank.

“VIEW FROM A WINDOW”: We were fortunate enough to being staying in a holiday cottage that offered us uninterrupted views from Newlyn to the rest of Mount’s Bay. I enjoyed watching the weather fronts pass by and catching the sunrise over St Michael’s Mount.
