Oil on Board | 14” x 9″ ‘This is the opposite view from where I painted “A Venetian Back Water”. Scuola Grande Di San Marco is the white building at the end of the alley. The joy of Venice is not having to travel very far for your next painting.’
Pastel | 3.7 x 7 inches It’s a great subject to try out in pastel with effective lights and darks and vibrant colours.
Oil on board | 29 x 20 inches Every time I pass the fish cellars in Port Isaac I think it would make a great painting and now I’ve finally painted it. No detail was left out and the ‘square brush technique ‘ gives the lovely soft edged effect.
Pastel | 5.5 x 7.5 inches With paintings like this I think it’s important to include ‘life’ such as animals or people; to give another point of interest in the painting.
