Kieron was practicing using oils at an early age after a short time of being quite frustrated by their texture and drying time. It remains his favourite medium to use. Inspired by local artist Jeremy Barlow, Kieron was very taken with this composition.

Winter becomes a popular time to paint, as there is little opportunity to do much else, apart from sledging! summers remain a time to enjoy the outdoors and ice-cream! Winters are about the wood burner, early evenings indoors and painting winter scenes.

Holkham beach became a favourite destination in all weathers for the children! it remains a place of extreme importance for us all, it’s beautiful uninterrupted coastline is unrivalled. Kieron especially loves this location at sunset.
