Oil on board | 18 x 14 inches The colours worked really well together and the absence of cerulean blue helped the painting not to be too pretty or twee.  

Oil on board | 16 x 20 inches A better subject and better light would be hard to find. A bonfire’s smoke drifted across the road and created this beautiful atmosphere. The thick impasto worked well I think, though it took an age to dry before I could continue working on it!
