Watercolour, 4×3.75″ The aim of this painting was to create a sense of depth in a small space, using cooler shades in the distance helps to push forward the warmer tones and layering the mist created texture to the subject.

Pastel, 14.5×22″ This is the largest pastel I have completed for a while. Choosing to use pastel for this scene was ideal to capture the crisp, frosty light. I enjoyed the challenge of the size too.
Pastel, 8×5.5″ This painting was inspired by a painting by Lucy Kemp Welch. I like the old fashioned subject matter and subsequent mood of the painting, a subject that is timeless.
Pastel. 7.25×5.25″ I like the linear marks of Billie’s top in this piece, I think it creates a sense of movement in what could otherwise be a very rigid pose.
