With Norfolk being incredibly flat, Kieron learned how to break up the many horizontal layers of sky, land and sea with various elements, here it is reeds, masts and sloping muddy banks.

At seven years old Kieron joined Tony Garner for a series of pastel workshop classes. At break times while the others sipped tea and ate biscuits, Kieron would run around the Methodist church poking sticks at weeds etc before sitting still for the remainder of the class!

Despite Kieron being able to sell a particular painting a dozen times over, he has never returned to paint a scene simply because he knows it would sell, you cannot get Kieron to do anything he doesn’t want to do… and we admire him for this. It was as if Kieron was determined to succeed in everything he attempted to do, whatever it was… pastels especially, exceeded all our expectations in someone so young…

Observing Kieron throwing himself into his new found passion, and wondering what he would produce next was a magical experience, and even now, you never know what he’s going to present to you… I cannot describe the energy that is in the house when he is fired up to paint!

Nothing prepares you really for such a life changing event as this. Turning into an international and global artist in such demand at such a young age is unimaginable, trying to stay grounded is paramount…

Winter themes loaned themselves perfectly for card images as the demand for Kieron’s work escalated and people wanting to take away some memento of his work that was in such demand and difficult to secure.

With no formal advertising, it was a huge surprise to learn that Kieron’s 16 paintings had sold to his mailing list in 14 minutes.. it was at that point that we realised we had something very scary and thrilling to deal with…
