About the painting:
“In the May of 2022 this beautiful wood we walk the dogs through most mornings was absolutely full of bluebells. The following year I painted this of my sister and was so disappointed not to be met by a carpet of bluebells, but by a green tangled mess of sticky weed (Galium aperine) with just the odd bluebell poking through. I still finished the painting because the light was lovely, especially the reflected light on the gnarly tree.” Kieron
