About the painting:
“This painting was left discarded in my studio for several months, until I saw an early work of mine dating back to 2010. It was a monotone pastel of a barge at Woodbridge in Suffolk. I instantly knew that a monotone colour palette would work on this painting. I liked the interesting lost and found edges of the lifting mist and the suggested forms of St Anthony Church and the turreted ancestral home of the Spry family in Cornwall.” Kieron
