“I painted this during the first UK lockdown. Only being allowed out for 30 minutes to exercise meant I begrudgingly had to work solely from photographs this one being taken on one of our daily dog walks. The light in early April is really unusual, there is a warm tint to just about everything, a misty or hazy atmosphere and the ground is a really lovely warm brown colour. A joy to paint.”
