“Each morning we chose to drive along the coast road to my 2020 exhibition in Holt. More often than not the herd of cattle at Salthouse would be grazing, sitting or standing in the marshes close to the road. I was often late to the exhibition because I was I was very keen to get photos of the cattle we saw as we drove through! One especially hot morning, the herd were tightly grouped beside a gate and dyke, all jostling and swinging their heads together. The bull parted from the herd and began to run to the other other end of the pasture where he proceeded to kick and flick dust all over his back, creating a really unusual and striking subject.”
