About the painting:
“It was extremely difficult to capture the transition of colour in the sky of this painting, especially the glow of light around the sun. I layered the sky with around half a dozen glazes of transparent colour to achieve this. It was all about getting the colours rich enough so as to make the light on the water sparkle.” Kieron
