“I took the photo for this painting on a beautiful early spring morning inspired by the blackthorn blossom on the hedge. Looking back at this painting I can almost smell the sheep in the fields beside the road and feel the warmth of the sunshine, hearing the sound of the horses’ hooves on the road. A beautiful time of year and I thoroughly enjoyed painting it.”
