‘The colours in the piece really work well together. I don’t think the painting would have worked with a bright, blue summer’s sky. I got the photo for this as we were heading back to the harbour after the mizzen snapped, the mainsail got snagged and Tim’s hat had blown off! It didn’t quite live up to my idyllic thoughts of sailing. Nevertheless, I did get some great photos to work from, so it was absolutely worth it!’
