“This was the pinnacle painting from my holiday to Cornwall in October. My dear friend John and I were up with the lark and on the moors at some “ungodly hour”! But the early start was worth it. What light and what an amazing subject! And a great way to spend a Saturday, following the hounds, talking about horses and life, cold sausages and a flapjack for lunch! One day short of two months’ work went into this painting, it really was a labour of love.”
