‘After a winter of almost constant rain, October to February, any glimmer of sunshine sparked some inspiration. In this painting, my sister Billie, happened to be sitting in the perfect place. The subject, and particularly the shard of light catching the subject’s face, reminds me of a painting entitled “Omnibus” by Anders Zorn, Sweden’s Master Painter.’
