Spring

Oil On Board | 14 x 15 inches

“We pass these beautiful Kerry Hill sheep almost every morning on our daily dog walk. I was very kindly allowed to take photos and paint Steph the farmer feeding her sheep. It was early spring with blossom on the trees, a slight frost and pale sunlight raking through orchard, made for a lovely painting. The subject reminded me of the work of Henry Herbert La Thangue RA (1859 –1929) an English realist rural landscape painter and Sir George Clausen (1852 –1944) who was a British artist famed for working in oil and watercolour.”
