“Painting these dairy cows in a small meadow was very peaceful. It’s a typical Cornish scene: ancient lichened farm buildings surrounded by scrubby gorse and stunted, skeletal trees, with the glimmering blue sea just beyond. Whilst painting, an inquisitive cow wandered over and stood right in front of me, and my view was suddenly completely interrupted. Thankfully she quickly lost interest and walked off!”
