In Quiet Peace Awakes The Welcome Morn

Oil on Board | 10 x 12 inches

About the painting:

“My father and I were both up at 3am to make sure we had enough time to get to this perfect location before sunrise. I love those early starts in the summertime, if they are not too much of a regular occurrence … I was up at that time of the morning three or four times in two weeks making the most of a nice spell of weather. This particular morning was the last of the early starts and it was a lyrical morning on the banks of the River Bure alongside cattle grazing in the dewy meadows. I have an app on my phone that tells me what birds are singing. Within three minutes it detected; Pigeons, Blackbirds, Wrens, Reed Warblers, Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs, Crows, Collared-doves, Song Thrush, Pheasants and a Peacock!” Kieron
