About the painting:
“I spotted these sheep whilst I was driving out of North Walsham one day in December, I only caught a glimpse but the autumnal colours in the copes and undulating field sparked an interest. The next nice day my father and I went out and I painted them. The sun was out so briefly, it shone for no more than five minutes the entire time I worked. I got in the long, raking shadows and the position of the sheep and worked on the rest of it from a photograph in my studio.” Kieron
