About the painting:
“I was determined to paint these sheep on the clifftops above Porthcothan. I cannot recall how many times, on bright afternoons, did my father and I traipse from the holiday cottage in the valley, all the way up to the cliff tops, in the hope that the sheep would be grazing somewhere near the edge so I would be able to capture the sea behind them. Although we were never lucky enough to capture my chosen composition, the backdrop of the daffodil fields was perhaps even more lovely… sometimes you’ve got to take what you’re given and make it work!” Kieron
